ORION Consulting was established in 1996 by a group of senior professionals embracing a range of professions. David Spearritt left the group to undertake a major assignment, and returned in 2001 as Director. ORION is now led by David, who has extensive consulting experience and has held senior executive roles including Chief Financial Officer of a large organisation David successfully developed and implemented a major financial turnaround for this Australian organisation.

He is a leading financial executive with over 30 years experience in financial and strategic management. Equipped with Masters and Bachelor degrees from University of Queensland, David is a Fellow of CPA Australia (FCPA) and the Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD) He also plays a leading role in CPA Australia, having served on numerous task forces and committees for over 10 years, including leading a Centre of Excellence research project.
