ORION Consulting Network provides specialist financial and strategic consultancy services to assist with commercial reforms, strategic policy development, and organisational capacity improvement. The company has extensive experience in implementing Australia’s National Competition Policy. Our approach is to provide smart solutions to complex issues to achieve long-term objectives. The Consulting Network is centred around an Australian company, ORION Consulting Network Pty Ltd.

ORION is led by David Spearritt, who was one of the firm’s founding consultants when it was formed in 1996 as a multi-disciplinary consulting firm. The Network operates as a virtual corporation, with David providing core-consulting services supported by a small, but skilled technical and administrative team. ORION provides a wide range of available skills to bring to any project, with the Network’s consultants being leaders (Stars) in their respective fields, all with senior industry experience. This partly explains our name, since we are a constellation of leading lights in our respective fields, bringing smart ideas to provide targeted solutions.

Our minimal corporate overheads means that we can provide the highest levels of expertise at consulting rates equivalent to those of a graduate or junior consultant in one of the major consulting firms. We don’t have an incentive to expand projects to keep an expensive workforce busy or pay for high rent in premium office space, therefore we are much more cost-effective and targeted than our larger competitors.
